The Law of Attraction is often sold as a magical power that only requires you to pick things out that you want then sit back and wait for the Universe to deliver, as though the Universe is a grown up Santa Clause. But if you have tried this approach and not found much success, you may be thinking “Is There A Real Law of Attraction?” The answer is yes… and it is almost a magical as the first description. The difference? You may have to take a few steps but the future you desire can be achieved.
Follow these Five Steps to put the Law Of Attraction to use for you.
Know What You Want
The clearer the vision you have of where you are headed, the more powerfully The Law of Attraction can assist you. This step is so obvious as to be missed by many people. What do you want to create in your life? If you’ve never considered this as a serious question, take time to discover what you really want to create in your life. Don’t skip this step and don’t settle for what is easy, what makes your parents happy or what society expects of you. Again, what do YOU want to create?
Visualize Moving Toward Your Goals
A recent article is Psychology Today reported results showing that people who “visualize” doing weight lifting exercises showed almost the same results as those who actually lifted weights. Set aside time every day to see yourself taking action, moving toward your goals. Combine your visualization with taking actual steps (no matter how small) toward your goal, and you are well on your way to creating the life you WANT.
Make Course Corrections Along the Way
The goal: Land on the moon. Hundreds of engineers work on a way to delivery astronauts to the lunar surface and get them home safely. The system had been proven to work in previous missions. But in April of 1970, the system was about to go terribly wrong. Hopefully as you move toward your goals the challenges you encounter will not be the life or death issues faced by Apollo 13. Their mundane trip to moon changed focused as both the astronauts and ground crew worked to save the lives of the Apollo 13 crew. Be focused on your goal and not the challenges in getting to the goal. Know in advance that things will come up, and your job is to make course corrections to overcome the obstacle.
Celebrate Little Successes
Most people treat themselves much more harshly than others around treat them. As you move closer to your goals, take time regularly to recognize little (or not so little) successes. This is an exercise in treating yourself with more kindness, and taking note of the progress you’ve made. And, success breads success. You are more likely to keep pursuing your goal if you feel you have been successful already. Oftentimes, getting what you want is a process of many small victories not just one big event. Become your own biggest cheerleader.
What fuels the Law of Attraction? Your belief that your goal can be accomplished. You do not have to know the way in which the universe will bring the circumstances into your life. But you have to believe that what you want can be achieved. The process here is straight forward ; if in the back of your mind you doubt whether your goal can be achieved, you’ll find it difficult to take action to create your goal. Your belief will drive you to take action, help you to be flexible in approach to achieving your goal, help you to acknowledge successes along the way. Your actions combined with your beliefs call the full force of the law of attraction to work in your life.
There is magic in taking action… “Whatever you think you can do or believe you can do, begin it. Action has magic, grace and power in it.”- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, German Playwright.
The ‘real’ Law of Attraction is magic that anyone can use. Imagine what you want to create and begin to take action, and opportunities will align themselves with your activity to bring about your heart’s desire. Use these five steps to create the life you want to live!
